Hollywood houses the finest and the most popular celebrities that any avid fan would want to meet and greet. Ironically, it also has its ugly side of embarrassing and controversial scandals that led to fights, legal lawsuits, imprisonment and even loss of career.

Take a bite of the five actors and their true stories behind cameras that put them to the center stage of gossips and troubles.

1. Thomas Gibson

"Criminal Minds" killed its main character of 11 years Aaron Hotchner following the termination of the very actor who plays the role, Thomas Gibson. In August, a report published that ABC Studios and CBS Television Studios in a joint statement, officially announced that Gibson has been fired from the crime drama tv series.

Gibson was dismissed from the show due to a physical altercation on the set while they were filming the action show. He was presumed to have kicked the producer on set during a verbal disagreement that unfortunately led to a physical attack. The violent fight occurred in July in Los Angeles, but the announcement of the networks’ final decision has been made the following month.

Thomas Gibson was reported to have issued a public apology on what transpired and not denying anything about the issue that had happened. He mentioned that there were creative differences and conflicts that occurred on set and that he regretted everything that took place.

2. Bruno Mars

Per E! News, Bruno Mars was arrested for felony cocaine possession in 2010. The charges filed against the “When I Was Your Man” singer were dropped by a Las Vegas judge after he accomplished over 200 hours of community service, paid a $2,000 fine and completed eight hours of counseling on illegal drugs.
The famous singer did not deny the accusation of the Hard Rock Hotel attendant that a guest in the hotel was using narcotics at that time.

3. Nicolas Cage and Vince Neil

Buddies Nicolas Cage and Vince Neil were hanging out in Las Vegas casino early this year when a commotion happened. A woman reportedly asked for an autograph from the “Ghost Rider” star when Mötley Crüe’s lead vocalist allegedly grabbed her hair and pulled her to the ground.
Cage was recorded in a video stopping his friend from making a scene. In the end, Neil was charged with misdemeanor battery and might face six months of jail time once convicted.

4. Dolores O’Riordan

A source noted that The Cranberries’ vocalist, Dolores O’Riordan had a disturbing behavior as she landed home from her JFK to Ireland flight in 2014. The female singer was asked by a stewardess to sit down but she became so violently aggressive that resulted to calling the police. Consequently, the singer was detained for one day and was treated for mental issues.

5. Roman Polanski

Roman Polanski was accused of raping a 13-year-old girl in 1977. He pleaded guilty to avoid many charges and to lighten his sentence according to Chicago Tribune. But when the judge was about to revoke on the agreed plea, Polanski fled the country and lived in France instead.

Interestingly, Polanski has released almost a dozen of movies while in exile. His biggest hit was "The Pianist" in 2002 that won him Oscar’s best director. He was also nominated for an Academy Award just a few years after the scandal for the film "Tess" in 1981.
