Darksouls III Ashes Of Ariandel DLC Accidentally Released On Xbox One

Since Darksouls III Ashes of Ariandel DLC was introduced a couple of months ago, fans were hyped to experience the new snowy region and storyline of the game. As previously reported, it was scheduled to be released tomorrow, Oct. 25. However, recent reports from the community mention that the Season Pack DLC was released a day earlier. Some players posted screenshots of the new Darksouls III DLC that is working perfectly on offline mode. Following on the said incident, Bandai Namco has released a statement regarding the confusion.

Reddit user named Goffer54 checked their season pass and posted a screenshot of the DLC that is currently downloading to their console. Additionally, another player also stated that the DLC was working perfectly in offline mode and adding that Darksouls III Ashes of Ariandel DLC was supposed to arrive tomorrow Oct. 25.

According to the reports from Gamespot, Bandai Namco admits that it was due to a logistical error which had caused for the expansion pack to be downloadable on Xbox One for a short time. In addition, Bandai Namco already corrected the scheduling error. The company announced that Dark Souls III Ashes of Ariandel DLC will now arrive today Oct. 24 at 3PM PDT for Steam Players and 9PM PDT for console players. Bandai Namco has also regretted the caused confusion and hoping to see everyone within the world of Ariandel.

For those who are uninitiated, Darksouls III Ashes of Ariandel DLC takes the players to the frozen land of Ariandel in order to defeat the evil within. Players are also set to reveal the secret of what destroyed the region. Ashes of Ariandel DLC is the first of two expansion packs planned for Darksouls III. It costs $15. Players can also get the DLC through the Season Pass which is priced at $25. The season pass covers the two Darksouls III expansion packs. The second DLC is slated for release by early 2017.
