PlayStation VR is the newest trend today and it seems that a lot of fans are already maximizing the use of the new VR headset. Recently, Lewis from the Unbox Therapy has just uploaded a video where he is seen playing Xbox One console while using the PlayStation VR headset. It's amazing to see how you can experience having the two consoles seemingly "working" together.
PlayStation VR + Xbox One, How Does it Work?
First and foremost, you need to have all three essential hardware in order for this method to work - the PlayStation 4, PlayStation VR headset and the Xbox One console. Now, you might be wondering, why do I need the PlayStation 4 console? Well, basically, the PlayStation VR (box/receiver) has to be connected to the PlayStation 4 platform in order for the headset to work.
Step-by-Step Guide to Connect The Xbox One To The PlayStation VR
Playing the Xbox One console with the use of the PlayStation VR is fairly simple. First, you just need to connect the USB cable from the PlayStation VR box into the PlayStation console in order to turn the headset on. Second, the Xbox One video/audio output should be connected to the PlayStation VR box video/audio input. This will allow all the feed from the Xbox One to be received by headset. After you connect all the necessary input/output wires then viola, you can now play any Xbox One games using the PlayStation VR!
The Beauty of PlayStation VR
One thing to note is that this method is not limited only for the Xbox One platform; basically, you can use any device like PC, Wii U and whatnot and connect it to the PlayStation VR with the use of an HDMI cable. This will allow you to play any games of with the PlayStation VR's virtual cinema feature. It would feel like sitting in a huge cinema while playing your favorite games. Essentially, PlayStation VR can be your portable "cinema player" which can be a great substitute for your TV if you're into immersive gaming experience!
Take note though that the audio of some games can be limited or impaired with the use of the virtual cinema feature. Nonetheless, the PlayStation VR is indeed an amazing piece of hardware as it's not only limited to the use of Sony PlayStation consoles.
