The Internet is busy talking about the mysterious old man who keeps showing up in the Pokemon Sun and Moon demo gameplay. And in case you might be wondering, this is the real name of the man when he introduced himself.
The mysterious old man is a non-playable character (NPC) in the Pokemon Sun and Moon game who made his first appearance at the end of the Mahalo Trail through normal gameplay. The first encounter seemed creepy because the player will see him hiding behind a statue half-peering as if getting ready to pounce on you. Then, he introduces himself as the 'mysterious old man' and even swears that there is nothing special with him.
In order to unmask the mystery behind this creepy old man, some of the players went back to the original location to find out if they can trigger a new dialogue with him when he pops up but all they get is the same response. However, the old man repeatedly assures players who encounter or go back to him that there's nothing more to him. Despite that, some players have obsessed about him and couldn't shake the nagging feeling that there is something more to him than what he's trying to hide.
One player tweeted a screenshot where he encountered the mysterious old man again talking to another character in the game. Even his dialogue after the first encounter is also filled with enigma as he tells players, "Cant' resist the siren song of my shiny head." One of the theories about him is that the game placed him there to just troll players. If that is the case, then Pokemon Co. is successful in doing so.
Whoever the mysterious old man is and what his role in Pokemon Sun and Go is still a big puzzle, an enigma that has further fueled the curiosity of players and the Pokemon world. Perhaps, his identity will be revealed in the full version of the game.
