‘Criminal Minds’ Season 12 Spoilers, News And Updates: Mysterious Killer Revealed; Did Gibson’s Exit Angered The Fans?

Avid fans of "Criminal Minds" Season 12 have waited for a long time to see new episodes. However, they may be disappointed with the recent developments in the TV series. This show has been on the air for so long and fans are not impressed with the decisions made by CBS.

It's Long Overdue Since Season 11's Finale

It is way overdue since the last episode of the show's season 11 ended. Fans are growing restless and are eagerly looking forward to their next fix. But because of the final debate of presidential candidates Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump, the TV network has decided to move the showing of "Criminal Minds" Season 12 episode 4 to Oct. 26.

The show was supposed to air on Oct. 19, but with a week's delay, the fans have grown more restless while waiting for the revelation of the mysterious serial killer. Episode 4 of "Criminal Minds" season 12 is titled "Keeper." Its teasers seem to suggest that it has a Halloween theme with the Behavioral Analysis Unit facing a monster beast.

Is Thomas Gibson Causing The Boycott Of Fans?

Meanwhile, it seems that a cast, Thomas Gibson, is causing the fans to boycott the show. He was shown the door in August because of his altercation with Virgil Williams, the writer, and producer of the show. Right thereafter, CBS issued a statement that Williams was fired. An exit storyline was created for him which explains why his character, Special Agent Aaron Hotchner, is no longer part of the team.

However, it appears that this exit of Gibson is a bad idea after all. A report in Variety indicated that viewer ratings of "Criminal Minds" Season 12 have gone down to 12 percent. The rating of the previous season is down as well. Could the axing of Hotchner, who has been a mainstay of the show since it debuted in 2005, angered the fans?
