During the off season, The Pelicans Management made some moves to strengthen their team. The goal of the management is to form a younger nucleus around their superstar Anthony Davis. In the event, they have to give up stretch forward Ryan Anderson and Eric Gordon.
Pelicans tried to retain both players but they opted to join Houston Rockets.
Pelicans hit the jackpot in the lottery when they drafted high-caliber scorer in Buddy Hield. The Oklahoma standout provided a glimpse of the future as he showcased his skills this summer league. The addition of Lance Stephenson boost up their perimeter defense and brings attitude towards the team.
