Ever since "High School Musical 4" was confirmed to be released, many of the fans of the movie franchise have been excited to see Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens together again on the big screen. However, reports have claimed they will no longer be reprising their roles in the upcoming installment.

There have been reports that the upcoming "High School Musical 4" will no longer be featuring any of the original cast known as the East High Wildcats. Apparently, the new ones will now be known as the West High Knights. This has not yet been confirmed by Disney yet but it is highly possible. Since it has been a long time since the last "High School Musical" movie was aired, the cast and the characters have now grown up and matured already. The upcoming movie franchise will allegedly feature an entirely new cast, a new love story to unfold.

However, some of the fans still believe that it is not the case since the upcoming franchise will have a working title of "The Wedding." It is possible that they could feature the happy ending of Troy (Zac Efron) and Gabriella (Vanessa Hudgens). These reports started the speculations that the actress has already broken up with boyfriend Austin Butler, led allegedly by Zac coming back into her life.
The former couple have been together since they started filming for "High School Musical" and were together until shortly after the last franchise was released. Fortunately, there hasn't been any bad blood between the two, and it was considered to not be a horrible break-up. The couple merely grew apart from each other which led to a break-up. Now that they are allegedly going to reunite in the upcoming "High School Musical 4," will there be a chance for the two to rekindle the romance they left off years ago. However, Vanessa's breakup with Austin hasn't been confirmed yet and the fans are simply waiting for her to make the announcement.
