‘Teen Mom 2’ Cancelled? Kailyn Lowry Says It’s Over?

MTV television show, “Teen Mom 2” is reportedly ending has one of its showrunners, Kailyn Lowry discreetly dishes out to the public that the said show is coming to an end.

“Teen Mom 2” is a reality documentary show spin-off from the MTV documentary show “16 and Pregnant” that debuted in 2009. “Teen Mom 2” premiered on MTV in January 2011 and helped the four main casts namely Jenelle Evans, Chelsea DeBoer, Kailyn Lowry, and Leah Messer rise to fame and become household names. The said reality MTV television show has been running for seven seasons and has reportedly been renewed for an eighth season.

But shockingly, Kailyn Rowly has seemingly revealed that “Teen Mom 2” will not be seeing additional seasons as the said series is said to end on its current installment plans. Kailyn recently published her new book titled, “Hustle and Heart” and it will be released on Nov. 22. In the said book, Kailyn has allegedly revealed that it's over and the show was ending.

An excerpt from the introduction of her book, “Hustle and Heart” reads, “Since 2010 I’ve been on TV, and my struggles have been my identity. Now, especially with the show coming to end, it’s time for my accomplishments to stand out. I want to show everyone that even though I grew up like white trash and got knocked up at seventeen, I can get a Bachelor’s degree and raise children who blow people away with their manners, wit, and intelligence.”

Kailyn has revealed her hardships as well as her future plans, probably after the end of the reality series, in her upcoming new book. Some news outlet has confirmed that Season 8 for “Teen Mom 2” is already in the works and with Kailyn’s vague revelation, it just be the last season. Followers of the reality series have voiced out that canceling “Teen Mom 2” will cause disruption especially when the original teen moms have returned with “Teen Mom OG” sharing more of their lives.

If “Teen Mom 2” gets canceled, that could probably mean that the rest of the “Teen Mom” franchise might be slated off by the network. But it is too early to draw conclusions as nothing has been confirmed yet. MTV and Kailyn Rowly has yet to release an official statement regarding this matter.
