Ian Somerhalder and Nikki Reed’s marriage is not only filled with love, sweetness, and big dreams. Apparently, the lovely pair is continuously facing various speculations against their relationship. What the theories made clear is the allegation that theirs is heading to divorce.
Unfortunately, the blame is always pointed on Somerhalder’s ex-girlfriend Nina Dobrev. In an interview, “The Perks of being a Wallflower” actress related her thoughts about her separation with Somerhalder.
"I've said this before, that we didn't break up because anything bad happened or because there wasn't love or friendship. I love him and the friendship is still strong and I think he's great and I care about him. And that didn't change. Yes, we're professional and that's fine. We were friends long before we dated and we still are now," Dobrev said.
According to Movie News Guide, Dobrev’s forthcoming comeback in the final season of “TVD” has caused discomfort to the “Twilight” star. Reed is presumed to be protective of her husband and their marriage and getting reunited with Dobrev is an ugly idea that she does not want to come to fruition.
In addition, Dobrev was noted to have caused disturbances in the lives of the married couple that even their future plans might be affected. Sources have confirmed that Ian and Nikki have been arguing endlessly about Dobrev’s possible reunion with her former beau to the extent that Nikki asked her husband to choose between her and Nina.
In order to save their rocky relationship, the duo is theorized to trying to have a baby to save their marriage. A love child is believed to help them fix their problems as a couple and could also save their respective careers as well.
Despite the silence of both Reed and Somerhalder on the issues thrown against them, their actions serve as proof that the divorce rumor is but a lie. They pursue their passion together and focus on creating new and happy memories instead.
Last September, they were seen at the American Museum of Natural History in New York City. Their attendance is a strong support on the premiere of“Years of Living Dangerously” season 2, a National Geographic documentary produced by Arnold Schwarzenegger and James Cameron that aims to educate the public on the threats of climate change and the solutions that can be done.
Also, they were spotted on regular days doing a normal couple chore like doing groceries while showing their affection to each other with their sweet gestures.
