"Pretty Little Liars" star Shay Mitchell has recently made a lot of "PLL" fans cry through an emotional farewell video she posted on YouTube. Earlier, it was already confirmed that the Freeform thriller will no longer be making episodes after season 7.
In relation to the show's end, Mitchell has uploaded a video containing her thoughts in a Farewell Letter uploaded on her YouTube channel. The actress, known for playing the role of Emily Fields in the long-running series, has expressed her thoughts about the show's nearing end.
"Sad, anxious, excited, terrified, inspired, gratified, nervous, unsure, proud, upset, accomplished, relieved, devastated, lucky: I didn't know it was possible to feel so much at once, yet I sit here with all my feelings. It feels like the last day of school with just an extra bit of emptiness," Mitchell said.
The actress shared that her character Emily Fields came at a time when she needed her and that she will miss the role most of all. According to her, "Pretty Little Liars" gave her the best years of her 20s by shaping her into something that cannot ever be topped. She still finds herself awestruck and unable to believe that it will be all over after "Pretty Little Liars" season 7.
She continued to thank series creator I. Marlene King and the others for giving her a shot at it even if she didn't look like the typical girl-next-door. She thanked them for allowing her to be a vessel that opened up lines of communication in households across the world so that young men and women can live authentic lives.
The part that made her break down a little was when she thanked her fellow Liars. "To my sisters Ashley, Sasha, Lucy, and Troian, we did it," she said. "We managed to stay close through seven years of high school and that will always be what I'm most proud of ... The good, the bad, the beautiful, and the ugly, we were always there for each other, and I feel so incredibly lucky to know you all, and I will never forget what we had these last seven years. It was rare and special and prefect and I will miss you all badly."
The nine-minute video shows the "Pretty Little Liars" star even letting her false eyelashes fall for shedding a lot of tears. For now, "PLL" fans should stay tuned for the final episodes of "Pretty Little Liars" season 7 to be aired in April 2017.
