Great news to the fans of the Redmi series! The Chinese company, Xiaomi has finally unveiled its new smartphones, the Xiaomi Redmi 4 and Xiaomi Redmi 4A.
Though the spotlight is focused on the two smartphones, there is also a 3r smartphone called the Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime. Here are the smartphones' specs and features according to the written articles at GSM Arena and Gadgets.NDTV:
1. Xiaomi Redmi 4A
This is the cheapest among the latest Redmi series, but it doesn't mean it fails in performance. This smartphone is still capable of competing with other brands out there. The Redmi 4A's display is a 5-inch IPS screen of 720p resolution. It runs on the Snapdragon 425 chipset with a quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 processor, Adreno 308, and 2 GB of RAM.
With the rear camera, it is a 13 MP snapper that sits at the top left corner of the back that is accompanied with a single LED flash. The front camera is a 5 MP snapper. And to those who are a fan of fingerprint scanners, the Redmi 4A doesn't have one.
The Redmi 4A has 16 GB expandable storage via a dual-SIM slot. The battery is 3,129 mAh battery. It runs on a MIUI v.8 Android Marshmallow.
This handset is available in gold and rose gold colors. Lastly, the price is said to be at CNY 499 or $74 dollars only in China and will be available on November 11.
2. Xiaomi Redmi 4
This smartphone has an accent on the camera at the back and a 2.5 D glass in the front. The Redmi 4's display also sports a 5-inch screen of 720p resolution, but runs on the Snapdragon 430 chipset with an octa-ore 1.4GHz cortex-A53 processor, Adreno 505, and 2 GB of RAM.
Its back camera is also a 13 MP camera, but sits on the center of the back. Unlike the Redmi 4A that only sports a single LED, the Redmi 4 has a dual-LED. Front center a 5 MP snapper.
About the fingerprint scanner, the Redmi 4 has one. Expandable storage is also 16GB via a dual-SIM slot. It has a Bluetooth 4.1 support. Battery is a 4,100 battery. The phone also runs on a MIUI v.8 Android Marshmallow. The handset is available in gold, silver, and dark gray colors.
About its price, it is CNY 699 or $104, and will be available on November 7. So yeah, it's kind of expensive compared to the Redmi 4A, but the price is very affordable.
3. Xiaomi Redmi 4 Prime
This one here is a killer. Its displays is also a 5 inch IPS screen, but of a 1080p resolution. The Chipset is a Snapdragon 625 with an octa-core 2.0 GHz Cortex-A53 processor and Adreno 506 GPU. For the expandable storage, it is 36 GB and 3 GB RAM.
With the rear and front camera, it is the same as the Redmi 4. However, there Redmi 4 Prime's network is upped to Full Netcom 3.0 compared to the other two smartphones that are only 2.0.
It also has a fingerprint scanner, the battery is also 4,100 mAh, the colors case is also the same with the Redmi 4, and also its operating system.
About the price, it is CNY 899 or $133 and will be available on November 7. Though it is the most expensive between the other two, it is still worth buying. Plus, compared to the other smartphones out there, the price runs pretty high.
