Pokémon GO Latest Update: Trainers Urged To Find And Report Nests; What’s The Reward?

One of the greatest downsides of Pokémon GO is the ability for trainers to capture species, especially the rare ones, in rural areas. Thus, a group called "The Silph Road" took the initiative to crowdsource information on certain locations where there are Pokémon Nests using the so-called "Global Nest Atlas." With the constant changes of Pokémon Nests, trainers from across the globe are urged to find and report these.

Pokémon GO - What Are Pokémon Nests?

To set things clear, Pokémon GO has the so-called nests wherein similar Pokémon species are brooding at a consistent basis. Usually, these species spawn in this area up to five times around an hour or two. Take note though that there strange nests that spawn species too much over that same period of time. For many trainers who don't know the technical term, they would coin a certain nest by inserting the name of a Pokémon alongside the word "place" (e.g. Magikarp place).

Pokémon GO - Is Pokémon Nest Similar To Spawn Area?

Many trainers get confused at some point as to whether or not Pokémon Nest is similar to Spawn area. The answer is no. Spawn areas produce a bunch of Pokémon species too just like the nests. However, the only difference is the variety of species available in that certain area.

Pokémon GO - Is Pokémon Next Exclusive To Specific Countries Or Continent?

The biggest misconception perhaps about Pokémon nests is that it is only available in North America, at least it is common there. According to Niantic, nests can be found across the globe. However, the idea of a nest report has not been widely adopted yet in some European and Asian countries.

Pokémon GO - Find And Report Pokémon Nests

As the sixth nest migration had just happened last week, trainers around the world are encouraged to explore their localities and report found nests to the "Global Nest Atlas." By doing so, trainers can help by mapping out which way the species are heading this time, and which have already become common. After capturing these species, trainers can report to the "Global Nest Atlas" and provide substantial description of species, spawn time and behavior. What's the prize? Well, there's nothing really much aside from the fact that trainers will be able to help identify the movement of these species.
