2017 Acura NSX: Zero Turbo Lag, Smart AWD, Torque, What More Could You Ask For?

Some call it the Asian Ferrari, with its trademark red styling and rear spoiler. The first generation NSX that came out from 1990 to 2005 gave hope to enthusiasts that a supercar does not necessarily need to be European.

After a decade of waiting, and just six months into production, the second generation NSX is still leaving drivers in awe and fascination, as this beast cannot simply be compared to its predecessor.

The second-generation Acura NSX, also known as Honda NSX, introduces the Sport Hybrid Super Handling All-Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) technology, a first when it comes to supercar technology. It is full automatic all-wheel drive traction and handling system that was designed by Honda. The system basically provides optimum cornering performance and stability to the car by constantly responding to the driver's input.

The Acura NSX also features an advanced body construction that optimizes aerodynamics. A design that is far more revolutionary than the first version and one that can truly put the NSX in a pedestal among famous supercars. A car designed to give both form and function its true meaning.

Under the hood, the Acura NSX is fitted with a twin turbo V6 engine and three electric motors that put out a combined 573 horsepower. The electric motors make it possible for zero turbo lag and highly responsive torque output whenever needed. Acura was also successful in keeping the noise as low as possible, making it discreet and powerful at the same time.

The 2017 NSX is capable of reaching zero to 60 miles in just three seconds. Although the record is not the fastest in terms of acceleration, the overall track performance can still leave other supercars behind with its optimum handling and cornering stability. The engines ability of zero turbo-lag also keeps the car in the high rev ranges.

With an array of highly advanced technology, functional and stylistic body design. The 2017 Acura NSX can truly be a force to be reckoned with and an Asian car that can go toe-to-toe with any European supercar.
