Note: This article about has already been updated. As of this writing, Fallout 4 will be receiving mod support on PS4. It's scheduled for release come next update this month. Original Story: This seems to be a very bad day for all the fans of Fallout 4 and Skyrim Remastered. Well, actually, this is only for those who use Sony's console called PlayStation 4. Unfortunately, Bethesda has closed the curtain, suggesting that there's no hope in bringing the modding feature to the aforesaid titles. This is definitely a bummer, so to speak.
As announced in the official website of Bethesda, the devs have given up the fight of implementing a mod feature for both Fallout 4 and Skyrim Remastered on PlayStation 4. The latter title, in particular, has arrived with no mod support, contrary to what was promised before. This explains why, until now, it's nowhere to be found.
Although Bethesda made the big reveal, the culprit behind this is Sony, resulting to PS4 mods getting affected in Fallout 4 and Skyrim Remastered. The tech giant basically didn't approve the way mods would work before -- players being able to do just anything they want for the said titles. In simpler words, Bethesda is pointing fingers at Sony.
The developer behind Fallout 4 and Skyrim Remastered previously unveiled its plans to bring modding to PS4 and even Xbox One, Microsoft's gaming console. Good thing for the latter users, they're able to enjoy the feature. However, as for Sony's console owners, it's a totally different story. Heck, they've even been made to wait for weeks after weeks. And now, only to wake up knowing that no such feature will arrive to either of the games.
The most frustrating part for Fallout 4 and Skyrim Remastered fans is the fact that Sony didn't reveal any reason or explanation. Bethesda didn't even bother to disclose the deciding factor as to why such move has to be made. Obviously, this has made the community as a whole disappointed. But still, at the end of the day, players can do nothing significant. Decision are final anyway.
