The holiday season is already here and Sony is paving the way as it announced that it will have two-week long sale in line with its 10th anniversary celebration of the PlayStation 3.
The anniversary celebration will start tomorrow, November 11. It can be remembered that 10 years ago, November 11, 2006, the PlayStation 3 was introduced in the Japanese market. Six days later after its Japanese debut, Sony introduced the console in North America.
The 10th anniversary sale will give consumers up to 60 percent discount if they make am purchase during the sale period. Those who have membership subscription to PlayStation Plus can get up to 70 percent discount. Aside from these, Sony is also giving away free PS3 and PS4 themes.
The biggest freebie, however, awaits those who were early adopters of the PlayStation 3. Those who created a PlayStation Network account within six months after the PlayStation 3 was launched will receive an exclusive PS4 avatar. That means if you have a PSN account which is nine and a half years old can avail of this freebie.
Some of the selected items which will receive huge discounts include Bloodborne Complete Edition Bundle, which will have a 50 percent discount on its regular price and 60 percent off on PS Plus. Broken Age will receive an 80 percent discount on the #mce_temp_url#and the PS Vita while PS Plus will have a 90 percent discount.
Grand Theft Auto has 30 percent discount on PS4 and 40 percent on PS Plus; Rocket League - 30 percent off its regular price and 40 percent on PS Plus; Fez - 33 percent on PS4, PS3, and PS Vita while PS Plus will have 50 percent off.
The deals on PSN will start today until November 15 at 8 AM, PT. Then, a new set of deals will be up on the second week of the anniversary sale. More information is on the PlayStation official blog.
