One of the premier tournament series in Dota 2 is back again! The Summit 6 brackets, schedule, and talents were finally announce. With a prize pool of $100,000, The Summit 6 begins November 16.
The Summit 6 Participating Teams
The Summit 5 Champion, Wings Gaming, who also recently won two LAN events after The International 6, is directly invited for this season. Other teams who received direct invites are Digital Chaos, Evil Geniuses, and OG; three teams who have not yet showed their final form with their new rosters after the TI6 shuffle. Regional qualifiers are EHome, Team Faceless, Virtus Pro, and Team NP.
The Summit 6 Bracket
Eight teams will bloodbath in a best of three double elimination bracket. Winners will proceed to the second round while losers have to find their way back up through lower bracket. The grand finals is a best of five match which will determine the champions in this season, The Summit 6.
The Summit 6 Schedule
The Summit 6 will start its first day on November 16 with the upper bracket matches until November 17. The third and fourth days are matches between teams in the lower bracket. In the last day, November 20, is the grand final match of the tournament. The Summit 6 champion will bring home $42,500 of cash prize. You can read the full schedule here.
The Summit 6 Talents And Commentators
As always, ODPixel will be present again in this season of The Summit. KotLGuy, Fogged, Merlini, Charlie, and GrandGrant will also be in the scene. PPD will be a part of the talents, too, instead of playing for Evil Geniuses. To complete the list is Sheever, the only "grill" in the flock of The Summit 6 talents.
The Summit is a LAN tournament series run by Beyond The Summit. It is known for its fun atmosphere showcasing backstage events and laid back couch commentary. It will be held in the BTS house, Los Angeles, USA.
