The upcoming "The Originals" season four has been one of the most talked about returns on the internet nowadays, since many of the fans assume its cancellation after news on its predecessor, "The Vampire Diaries" is coming to an end. However, it looks like the show is still set to return for the next season and more.
Cancellation Rumors Debunked; "The Originals" Still Set To Air For A Couple More Seasons
Even though there hasn't been an official announcement on its release date just yet, the spoilers and storylines have already been speculated in "The Originals" season four. One of which is cancellation rumors of the show. Ever since Executive Producer Julie Plec announced during the Comic Con that "The Vampire Diaries" will already be on its final season, many fans have assumed the same fate for "The Originals." However, it looks like that may not be the case.
In an interview held with Plec, she revealed that she still has high hopes for "The Originals" and there is still a story to tell for the series. Ending the show abruptly will only cause loopholes and unanswered questions for the series and they intend to keep it on air for as much as they had it planned, as long as the ratings maintain. Even though the original premiere date of the show was pushed back a few months more, there is still a lot excitement surrounding the series' upcoming season.
One "The Vampire Diaries" Cast To Join "The Originals;" Could It Be Caroline?
There have been reports claiming that Plec reportedly said one character of "The Vampire Diaries" will join the cast of "The Originals" for good, but did not reveal said character. There have been many speculations that it could be Caroline (Candice Accola-King) since many have been pushing for her to reunite and be with Klaus (Joseph Morgan) for good already. Since Klaus has been in demise during the season three finale, Caroline will allegedly be his salvation. Even though it hasn't been confirmed yet, that will definitely be something to look forward to.
"The Originals" season four will reportedly air by early 2017.
