The 2018 Ford EcoSport: Great Things Come In Small Packages

It is a common belief that bigger is always better. However, the introduction of the 2018 Ford EcoSport, the smallest SUV from the assembly lines of the American automaker proves that great things also come in small packages. The EcoSport is set to appear in the LA Auto Show 2016 which is happening in a few days but its cover has already been lifted officially.

The 2018 Ford EcoSport SUV Specs

Ars Technica reported that the new Ford EsoSport SUV has a couple of powertrains for buyers to choose from. These are the 1.0-liter three-cylinder EcoBoost engine and a 2.0-liter four-cylinder direct injection engine that are both paired with a six-speed automatic transmission. A front-wheel (FWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) versions will also be available for the EcoSport as stated in the same report.

Great Things Come In Small Packages

Despite its size, the 2018 Ford EcoSport has a lot of room in the cabin. The Verge reported that there are 30 places inside the car where you can put your things in like pockets, bins, hooks, a movable cargo compartment floor board and fold-flat seats for you to put more things in. According to Ars Technica, the 2018 Ford EcoSport is also packed with connectivity features such as the latest SYNC 3 infotainment system from Ford that makes use of an eight-inch touch screen situated on the dash. Other features include a pair of fast-charging USB ports in the front and 12v power outlets in both front and back with an added option of a power outlet capable of 110v for passengers at the rear.

Trims, Price And Release Date

According to a report from Autoblog, there will be four trims available for the 2018 Ford EcoSport. The trims start from the base S to SE, SES and Titanium. Details regarding the price for the 2018 Ford EcoSport have not been revealed yet. The same report stated that the 2018 Ford EcoSport is expected to hit the market by early 2018.
