'Sons Of Anarchy’ Spinoff: Marcus Alvarez Confirmed To Join; Trump Almost Killed The Show?

Another character for "Sons of Anarchy" spinoff was revealed to join the cast and Emilio Rivera confirmed it himself. His character, Marcus Alvarez, will join the cast of the upcoming spinoff as seen in one of his recent posts on Instagram. In other news, showrunner, Kurt Sutter, admits the show was almost canceled when Trump was elected President of the United States.

After the season finale of "Sons of Anarchy" in 2014, Kurt Sutter was very vocal in his intention to keep the series alive through a spinoff. The upcoming season is said to be focusing on Mayans, the rival club and is reported to be already in the works. However, the recent controversial election made Sutter want to stop the production of the series.

As Donald Trump was declared the new president of the country, Sutter expressed his opinion on the matter and how he believes "Sons of Anarchy" spinoff could reflect the controversies of today's political and social standing.

In an extensive statement released by the creator, he said that Trump's victory was done fair and square so if he is really a democrat, he must accept the election results and claim Donald Trump as the true president of America. So instead of being part of the problem, he wants to be part of the solution.

"So for my own sanity and in the spirit of hope for my kids and all citizens of the world, I promise to look for the similarities rather than the differences. And instead of complaining about beliefs and policies I don't think are right, I will try to put that energy into something productive that incites change rather than derisiveness." He said.

Although it was not made clear how his change of perception can affect the series, he said he will now be focusing more on the positive side rather than the differences. The upcoming "Sons of Anarchy" spinoff is still in production and so far there are no news or indication that it will be put to stop anytime soon.
