‘Haikyuu!!’ Season 3 Episode 6 Recap, Episode 7 Spoilers: Karasuno Takes Fourth Set; Can They Stand Against The Seasoned Shiratorizawa?

“Haikyuu!!” Season 3 aired its latest episode and showed Karasuno finally owning up to their previous reputation as one of the strongest volleyball teams. They soared against Shiratorizawa as they show their true potentials, making them win the fourth match.

Last week, “Haikyuu!!” Season 3 Episode 6 aired “The Chemical Change of Encounters”. It took a break from the heated match between Karasuno and Shiratorizawa as it opened up with a flashback. The seventh episode took viewers three years back when Daichi Sawamura, Koshi Sugawara, and Asahi Azumane just joined Karasuno’s High School Volleyball Club.

It showed the three seniors joining the team during its dark times when there were no coach to supervise them nor players dedicated enough to help them win the nationals. The flashback also explained the mystery old man character who keeps on watching Karasuno’s games. Apparently, the same man has been silently rooting for the said team since their golden age.

Daichi, Sugawara, and Azumane went through a heartbreaking experience after witnessing one of Karasuno’s early downfalls. Their optimistic captain that time urged them to win nationals if they get the opportunity to play again. The latest episode pretty much illustrated how much these three characters have grown and how they’ve become the pillars of Karasuno’s volleyball team.

Heading back to the game, Karasuno fights it out with Shiratorizawa to win the fourth set. Karasuno doubles their efforts and attacks after Shiratorizawa won the third set. Leading with two sets, the fourth set was a deciding match whether Karasuno goes home early or gets to play another set.

Shoyo Hinata becomes a stronger weapon when he learns to actually block the other team’s attacks. Though reckless, the team supported him as they make Shiratoriza crumble and lose momentum. The match headed towards another battle of deuces, which Karasuno eventually won with the scores 29-27.

With Karasuno winning the fourth set and heading on to the last set, they now enter an unknown territory, which the seasoned Shiratorizawa has tantamount experience in. The fifth set ultimately boils down to the fact that the team with the most stamina will be the last man standing. Tobio Kageyama has already shown signs of exhaustion halfway through the fourth set.

With three more episodes left, the last episodes of “Haikyuu!!” Season 3 will most likely delve on Shiratorizawa’s disappointment and renewed spirit to win again. Karasuno will eventually win the game. “Haikyuu!!” Season 3 Episode 7 titled “Obsession” will air this weekend.
