"General Hospital" seems to be losing several stars lately. However, there is one rumor that could make many fans excited for upcoming episodes. It seems that Nikolas Cassadine will make his return to ABC's daytime soap and Tyler Christopher will be back to reprise his role.
"General Hospital" Spoiler: Cassadines Never Die
"General Hospital" might revive a fan-favorite character soon. Laura Spencer's illegitimate son was undoubtedly a fan favorite when he debuted on the show back in 1996. Christopher who brought the character to life had been a series regular in "General Hospital" for almost two decades before he left the show temporarily.
After Christopher won the Daytime Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actor, fans thought that Nikolas would be on a short break. What was supposed to be a temporary departure became a permanent one and with Christopher's exit from the show, the Cassadine black sheep is presumed dead as far as "General Hospital" is concerned.
The show has been leaving hints that Nikolas is alive although there is no clear evidence of it yet. These clues may be subtle but nothing ever happens in Port Charles that is purely coincidental especially when the Cassadines are involved. Due to these, there have been rumors that Nikolas will soon be back in GH although no one knows when or how.
While Nikolas' resurrection may be good news for Christopher's fans, the latest edition of "ABC Soaps In Depth" debunks this. In fact, Christopher reveals the reason why he was not able to reprise his role on "General Hospital."
Apparently, the reason was purely financial. According to Christopher, the show "couldn't come to an agreement that made sense for me and my family." With the announcement of "General Hospital's" renewal and increased viewership, there might be hope for Christopher's return if the network could make some adjustments. After all the rumors that many actors in "General Hospital" are planning to leave, it would be great to see Christopher back in Port Charles.
Molly's Boyfriend Is In Port Charles
It is not going to be a sad Thanksgiving for Molly (Haley Pullos), at least for this year. Her boyfriend T.J. Ashford (Tequan Richmond) will make an appearance in Port Charles this week just in time for Thanksgiving. The boyfriend rarely makes an appearance but it would be great to see him back on the show.
"General Hospital" airs weekdays on ABC.
