Samsung Customers Still Loyal Despite Note 7 Failure, Says Survey

A recent survey, conducted on Oct. 26 to Nov. 9, shows that consumers in the U.S. are still loyal to Samsung. They would continue to purchase a new Samsung smartphone, despite the recent safety issues with the Galaxy Note 7 and its recall.

Samsung faced one of the biggest recalls in the tech industry this year and lost a lot of money as well. However, the consumer loyalty does not seem to have been affected in the U.S. This is definitely good news for the South Korean smartphone manufacturer.

Samsung Customers Just As Loyal As Apple's

The survey was conducted by Reuters and the poll results were released last Sunday. About 2,375 Samsung smartphone owners participated in the survey. According to PhoneArena, the new poll results are shocking as a previous poll suggested that about 40 percent of Samsung users would not buy another Samsung smartphone.

The new poll results show that about 27 percent would look at a Samsung phone first when looking for a new smartphones. These people knew about the Galaxy Note 7 recall. Of those who did not know about the recall, 25 percent said they would also try a Samsung phone first.

Finally, 91 percent of consumers who currently own a Samsung device, would certainly buy another smartphone from Samsung. 92 percent said that they are very loyal and would purchase any device made by Samsung. Now that is loyalty and it is similar to Apple iPhone users.

Not Many Users Knew About the Issue

According to a research company, the customers still being loyal to Samsung is because the issues with the Note 7 started immediately after the product was released. It did not affect a lot of people and most of Samsung users did not even know about it. Samsung makes a lot of smartphones and feature-phones, which is why only a limited user base of Note enthusiasts were affected.
