"Madam Secretary" season 3, episode 8 titled "Breakout Capacity" hints President Dalton will be up for his first major debacle after being re-elected. The U.S. peace deal with Iran is in danger of being aborted following a discovery of Elizabeth.
President Dalton Wins Election
"Madam Secretary" season 3, episode 8 spoilers reveal that President Dalton (Keith Carradine) will be able to secure his post as the president of the United States. However, after learning that he wins the presidential race, President Dalton will learn from Elizabeth (Téa Leoni) that his country's peace agreement with Iran is in danger. As per episode 8 preview, the Iranian government violates its deal with the U.S. following the discovery of a footage showing the ton of ammo allegedly received by the country from the Russian government. Will President Dalton be aborting the treaty with Iran?
Episode 9 synopsis also unveils that romance is brewing between two of McCord's staffers, while Jason (Evan Roe) defies Elizabeth and Henry (Tim Daly) to side with any presidential hopeful opposite Dalton. His parents will not come to his terms considering they are both working for the government. Also, Sam Daly is set to return on the episode as Win Barrington.
Episode 7 "Tectonic Shift" Recap
Episode 7 titled "Tectonic Shift" showed a strong level 9 earthquake hitting Venezuela. The president and the vice president died and there's no one to succeed as far as the Venezuelan Constitution is concerned. International aid came to rescue but locals were resisting, barring them from setting foot on their land. Elizabeth and Dalton learned that the doctors sent were taken as prisoners by a group of thugs in Caracas thinking that they were Americans.
President Suarez's son proclaimed himself as the new head of state. He is also the leader of the biggest gang in the state capital. After Elizabeth and Dalton requested for the prisoners' release, Suarez Jr. had them by the neck and demanded he be legitimately crowned as the new president and make a public statement about it. However, they managed to trick Suarez Jr. with a fake footage declaring him as the new president.
