Earlier today, Funcom released a new trailer of their upcoming open-world survival game, Conan Exiles. The said video game is reported to launch for PC through Early Access on Jan. 31 while its Xbox One early access will be available in Spring 2017.
Conan Exiles Early Access was supposed to be launched in September however, the game's developer said that it was going to be rescheduled to 2017 to further make it a better game. And if you're wondering why there's no Early Access for PS4, well, Sony does not allow "early access" style games.
Conan Exiles latest trailer illustrated its gameplay including combat, building, and exploration. And we have to admit here, the visuals on the Conan Exiles trailer are absolutely stunning so it's no doubt that this would definitely make it into the most promising action games in 2017.
According to its Conan Exiles official website, the game is set in the "brutal lands of Conan the Barbarian". It further describes that the character is an exile and an outcast who must build, fight, survive and dominate the world. The open-world survival game can be played as a Single-Player or as Multiplayer with allies and enemies.
Conan the Exiles game is all about building a legacy in the world filled with danger, dominating your enemies and surviving the barbaric wasteland where you have to "weather scouring sandstorms, save your mind from being corrupted and going insane, and fight vicious monsters from the darkest holes of the earth".
Additionally, Conan Exiles also promises brutal action (if you are into those), wherein you can sacrifice your enemies' dead bodies (dragging their bodies to your settlement) to the altars of your gods to earn blessings. And of course, just like the olden times, you can have criminals as slaves to defend your territory and later on, turn them into either warriors or entertainers (so many options).
Joel Bylos, the game director said about Conan Exiles, "The open-world survival genre is ripe for Conan's conquest. If there ever was a world that can truly test your strength and skill, it is the brutal and savage world of Conan the Barbarian. Conan Exiles is not just an empty sandbox, it is a world rich in history where you must discover the secrets of ancient civilizations as you struggle to build your own."
Conan Exiles was said to be inspired by Robert E. Howard's stories. It is slated to be released for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC but no confirmed release date as of yet.
