It is best to remember that like Mega Evolutions, only one Z-move can be used per battle. You can equip the correct Z-Crystal to a Pokemon that has an attack that is of the same type. For example, Pikachu can use the normal Z-crystal if it knows quick attack. Such moves give an extra boost on top of the effect that your Pokemon normally has on battles.
Pokemon Sun And Moon Z-Crystal Locations
There are different kinds of Z-Crystals in the game. The Normal Z-Crystal can be found once the first trial is completed. Fighting Z-Crystal comes after the defeat of the first Kahuna (Hau). By conquering the second trial (Lana), you will receive the Water Z-Crystal.
The Fire Z-Crystal can only be acquired after beating the third trial (Kiawe).The end of the fourth trial with Mallow comes with a Grass Z-Crystal. Rock Z-Crystal are for players who can defeat the second Kahuna, Olivia. Trading with the hiker in Tapu Village's PokeCenter also gives you the Rock crystal.
The Electric Z-Crystal is awarded to the player who thrashes on the fifth trial, Sophocles. After beating him, Molayne will gift you with a Steel Z-Crystal. Go on to the sixth trial (Acerola) to get the Ghost Z-Crystal. Defeat Guzma in his hideout for the Bug Z-Crystal. Beat Nanu, the third Kahuna for a Dark Z-Crystal. In order to get the specific Z-Crystals in Pokemon Sun and Moon, talk to the girl with the three Pikachu in KoniKoni City. Teach Pikachu the Volt Tackle for Pikanium Z. The Incineroar Z is given to you by Kukui after defeating Guzma for the first time (If Litten is your starter). Defeating Hau also lets you receive the same Incineroar Z.
Primarina Z and Decidueye Z is gifted by Hau once you become the champion. After becoming the champion and defeating Tapu Koko, Tapunium Z is awarded to you. If you download the special Munchlax, you will have Snorlaxium Z. To get the Alolan Raichu Z, talk to the woman in the Seafolk Village and have Alolan Raichu in your party or you can talk to the man in the thrifty megamart and defeat the eight Eevee evolutions.
