Dota 2 News: God Joins Vega Squadron; Comeback of CIS Dota

Following the acquisition of the former Na'Vi all-star support Akbar 'SonNeikO' Butaev, Vega Squadron has once again signed a prominent talent into their roster to finally complete the team's official lineup. In just a few hours after the announcement of G-God's desparture from Team Empire, Vega Squadron officially announced and welcomed the Russian player in the team's official main roster. It is good to note that Vega Squadron is the first CIS team to be able to lock its final roster following the major CIS reshuffles in the last couple of months.

Dota 2 Team: Vega Squadron

As you can remember, we've made an article regarding SonNeiko joining Vega and his impact on the future of the team. SonNeiko is considered as one of the best supports in the world following his stellar track-record in Na'Vi. But Vega was left with one more slot to complete the team's roster and with Na'Vi and other CIS teams looking for players; a lot of fans were not expecting that Vega would be able to sign a premier talent in the region. But it turns out they were wrong.

Last week, Vega made a bold statement that the organization is eyeing on one particular talent to finally lock the team's roster but with only a handful of freelance solo mid-laners, we were all left guessing. In our last prediction, we mentioned a couple of names that's viable for the team but today, Vega finally unveiled their trump card and that is God - one of the highly recognized mid-laners from the CIS region and has just as much experience as any exception mid-laners worldwide.

Vega Squadron's official roster looks amazingly solid with the acquisition of the two premier talents from the CIS region. Now, will this mark the comeback of CIS Dota in the competitive scene? Well, we can only guess for now as the team will start playing competitively after the conclusion of the Dota 2 Boston Major.
