The cast of Pacific Rim 2 are currently now in Australia for their shoots and will proceed to China for the countries participation on this film. Several fans would be delighted to know that Chinese actor Zhang Jin is added to the cast. Jin's inclusion in Pacific Rim 2 is expected to bring more action to the upcoming movie.
Other Chinese iconic stars that are part of the cast of Pacific Rim 2 are Wesley Wong, Lily Ji, Qian and Yong Chen. The film also includes Chen Zitong, Lang Yingying and Xiao Yang. Dr. Jack Gao of the Beijing Wanda Cultural Industry Group said they are very excited that they have such amazing Chinese talent joining the film.
Pacific Rim 2 Plot
Gao bared in statement that the new story of Pacific Ring has a strong connection to China. He said the great Chinese cast will help bring the story to life in different angle. Spoilers for Pacific Rim 2 suggest that the sequel will take place after the defeat of the Kaiju's. This does not mean though that the battle between the Kaiju and humans is through. Fans can expect that the Kaiju's are set to make a comeback actioln for the sequel. It seems Pacific Rim 2 will tell more of their history and origin.
Pacific Rim 2 is under the direction of Steven S. DeKnight. Guillermo del Toro, Thomas Tull, Mary Parent and Jon Jashni are the producers of the film. Pacific Rim earned $112 in China. Now that the second film is making China its key element, Pacific Rim 2 will most likely be a hit in the said country.
