A new six-player deal has been making quite a buzz recently. Latest NBA trade rumors suggest that Nerlens Noel is bound for the Golden State Warriors in exchange of Klay Thompson who's bound for the Philadelphia 76ers. Meanwhile, Jahlil Okafor could be heading to the Boston Celtics in exchange for Avery Bradley moving to the Warriors.
Nerlens Noel To Golden State Warriors
Already beefed up with top-level players, the Golden State Warriors are reported to welcome a new asset in its roster, Philadelphia 76ers' center/power forward Nerlens Noel. The Sixers have three centers as of now and it's been public knowledge that the team is looking at someone to let go which could be the recuperating Noel. In the meantime, the Warriors could be eyeing for the 22-year-old's rim protection skills despite the team's already outstanding 16-2 record.
Latest analysis by Sam Amico underscored that the Portland Trail Blazers are also eyeballing Noel after negotiations with the 76ers. While on break, the sixth overall pick in the 2013 draft recently expressed his desire to move to another team when he comes back. As of now, the 76ers have assigned Noel to the team's D-league affiliate Delaware 87ers. Alongside Noel are the Boston Celtics' point guard Avery Bradley and the 76ers' first-round pick in 2017.
Jahlil Okafor To Boston Celtics
Another 76ers on the trade list is center Jahlil Okafor who's been speculated to have caught the interest of the Boston Celtics. The team has been on the lookout top-tier names like the Golden State Warriors' Klay Thompson, the Sacramento Kings' DeMarcus Cousins and the Washington Wizards' John wall. If this doesn't push through, Okafor is likely the pinch-hitter. Alongside Okafor are the Warriors' center JaVale McGee and a first-round pick in 2017. The Celtics seem keeping their eyes on the prize.
Klay Thompson To Philadelphia 76ers
Latest NBA trade rumor surrounding the Golden State Warriors' shooting guard Klay Thompson points to a potential shift to the Philadelphia 76ers. Alongside Thompson are the Celtics' center Tyler Zeller and a pair of second-round picks for 2017-2018. If the Sixers decide to ship off Noel, it has to trade Thompson to get a fair deal.
Who's On The Losing End?
If stellar players and the rest of the Golden State Warriors fail to meet expectations this season, the trade is likely to take place. However, shipping off Thompson, McGee and their 2017 first-round pick in exchange of Noel and Bradley seems pretty decent after all. Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics losing Bradley isn't a good idea as of now as it's been a struggle to find a fairly good replacement. Lastly, the Philadelphia 76ers has so much to lose with Noel, but with Thompson it's a reasonable trade.
