Milo Ventimiglia Talks About 'Gilmore Girls' Revival Ending: Actor Not Team Jess; Rather Team Rory All The Way

Milo Ventimiglia is widely known for his father-figure role in the hit drama series, "This is Us" but that's not all that he is. He also recently reprised his role as Jess Mariano in the hit TV series revival, the "Gilmore Girls." Find out what he thinks of his character's love interest, Rory Gilmore.

Milo Ventimiglia Who Plays Jess Mariano On "Gilmore Girls" Is Sadly Not For "Team Jess"

Any "Gilmore Girls" fan would want to know if the actor Milo Ventimiglia himself who plays Jess on the hit series, would in fact also want his character to end up with the Gilmore girl, Rory. However, much to fans' disappointment, he did not belong to Team Jess. In fact, he didn't belong to any of the guys' team, rather he prefers to be on "Team Rory" instead. As opposed to his rival on the series, Dean (Jared Padalecki) in which the actor himself said he was also with Team Jess.

According to Milo Ventimiglia, he understood the concept brought about by the writers that the story does not really rely on who Rory ends up with. The story was about her character, her relationship with her mother Lorelai, her career and her choices in life. It was more than just the love story that the fans have so dearly been shipping on for the past decade, fighting over whom Rory should end up with. He personally thought that it didn't matter if Rory ended up with Jess, Dean or Logan; as long as the point of the whole series was taken into context.

Milo Ventimiglia Talks About "This Is Us" And His Inspiration In Playing Jack

Now that the "Gilmore Girls" revival is finally over, despite the fans speculating there could be more than that, Ventimiglia is currently playing the lead role in the series, "This is Us." According to him, he could relate to his character on the show and is channelling the being of his father for him to portray the role as well as he has. His family has been his inspiration in the hit series, which is what makes it even better than it already is.
