In the game, players will have to ensure a win against Cactuar. And by doing so, they'll be able to get the needle needed for the Auto Crossbow. It's true, however, that fighting it isn't moonlight and roses. You need to have a good strategy as well as know-how on dodging and attacking. Nevertheless, once successful, rewards will be on your way.
Truth is, this dude isn't entirely a difficult one to take down. You just need to understand how he works on the field. Remember, he's known for speed. So, your best move is to have a good reflex. Learn to maneuver your way to his attacks and dodge any incoming if possible. Also, he's good at escaping especially when he's facing death. If that happens, don't let him out of your sight. You need to be as quick as you can be. Cactuar is said to spawn between 5 AM and 8 AM. Try to do this mission during the aforesaid timeline.

Cactuar Needle is not a new thing to Final Fantasy XV. This item is also found in the other titles in the franchise. However, unlike in the previous ones, Cactuar is to be summoned beforehand. You must run around Longwhythe, particularly on the northern part of it. You also need to go straight to the northwestern region of Hammerhead while utilizing the so-called Beast Whistle. Unfortunately, the spawn rate is tremendously low; hence you need to have a good amount of patience. Once you've acquired the Cactuar Needle, you should then be able to get the Auto Crossbow.
