2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Delivery Has Been Delayed, Here's Why

The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor has been making a lot of noise and a lot of people are very excited to get their hands on the new beast. In fact, dealers have had their hands full with so many orders even though the 2017 Ford F-150 is not yet available in the market. Buyers may have to wait a little longer as reports say that the F-150 Raptor delivery has been delayed and will not be coming this month as initially announced.

Why People Want A Raptor

The 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is no doubt one of the most powerful pickup trucks to ever come out of production. According to report a from Car and Driver, the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor is equipped with a twin turbocharged V6 engine that is capable of putting out 450 horsepower and 450 pound-feet of torque. This powertrain is paired with a 10-speed automatic with manual shifting mode that sends all the power to an all-wheel drive (AWD) drivetrain. This allows the Raptor to go from zero to 60 miles per hour. Accordingly, the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor also has a lot of features in the aspects of safety and overall driving dynamics.

The Delay

Orders for the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor have been pouring in for quite some time and the Raptors were supposed to arrive this month. However, the delivery has apparently been delayed. Autoo Mobile reported that a lot of people have been waiting for the 2017 Ford F-150 Raptor that was supposed to arrive by now. In fact, there are 15,000 people that have not yet received the Raptor they ordered.

The Reason For The Delay

Apparently, an employee has reported a fault in the production that caused the Raptors to be put on hold. It was stated that Ford has already issued an apology for the delay in the delivery of the 2017 F-150 Raptor. Ford also reassured the buyers that the 2017 F-150 Raptors will arrive before the year ends.
