‘Transformers: The Last Knight’ Release Date, Updates: Official Trailer Is Out; Michael Bay Delivers Promise Of Epic Action

Michael Bay's much anticipated film "Transformers: The Last Knight" has finally released its official trailer. While the fifth installment in the "Transformers" film series is set to make its debut in June 2017, fans' excitement is already high owing to the official trailer's explosive cinematography.

Bay's previous tweet and video giveaway got people on their toes in anticipation of the official preview. The short clip that lasted for a minute and 15 seconds ended with a promise of an epic trailer and with its final release, it is evident that the film director is to deliver something big for the upcoming installment.

The trailer starts with "Westworld" star Anthony Hopkins' voice over, narrating the film's story with his signature British accent. It features a muddled war between two worlds, humans and machines. The action-filled preview features Optimus Prime as some sort of villain and the comeback of Mark Wahlberg as Cade Yeager.

"Transformers: The Last Knight" will start with the "Transformers: Age of Extinction" ending where Optimus Prime went out to space carrying the seed that will let him see and meet the creators. The film will touch on the deep mythology of the Transformers and Cybertron, how they became a sentient race and how they relate to the human race.

"Transformers 5" will show the intense undertaking of the Transformers Reaction Force as they hunt down the Transformers. The genius inventor, Yeager, is on the run as he has become a person of interest. He sends his daughter away to hide for her own safety and on his getaway route, he will meet Izabella, played by Isabela Moner, and Vivian, played by Laura Haddock.

Paramount's "Transformers: The Last Knight" will be the last film to be directed by Bay. As this is his final work in the franchise, viewers can watch out for something big and extraordinary. The movie will hit theaters on June 23, 2017.
