NBA Trade Rumors: Kevin Love And Blake Griffin Swap; L.A. Clippers To Disband Its Ace Players If They Don't Get To The Finals?

The NBA players only have a week before they can get unofficially traded on Dec. 15. So far, there are dozens of players listed on the trading block where several NBA superstars can already be moved from their current teams to another. Now that the unofficial trading season begins, some of the trade rumors that we have all been speculating since September will finally make sense.

Although Kevin Love and Blake Griffin are not on the list of players that we might see on the move this December, trade talks about them are becoming hyped as both stars are playing fair this season and a lot of teams are probably eyeing these two to join their rosters. Love just re-signed with the Cavaliers after he opted for free agency last year and doesn't have a no-trade clause under his contract. So does he have a say on a possible trade involving him? Not really. Griffin, on the other hand, will be free after the 2017-2018 season.

Griffin got involved in a fight earlier this year where the whole of NBA was already sure to see him move somewhere else. His misconduct has stained his record, yet there were still teams who were willing to welcome him then. The Clippers, however, kept the 27-year-old power forward and have him played up to the playoffs.

The Los Angeles Clippers have reached the playoffs last season but unfortunately, the Golden State Warriors emerged as the Western Conference winners. This 2016-2017 NBA season, the Clippers started off being the top team of the Western Con, but they are now occupying the third spot while the GSW are again nabbing the top spot. With their constant impeccable performance though, the team is expected to once again make it to the playoffs.

The Chris Paul and Griffin tandem is definitely making it difficult for other Western Con teams to move forward, not to mention that the Clippers also have DeAndre Jordan who's contributing fairly for the team. Griffin is currently averaging a reasonable 20.7 points, 9.0 rebounds and 4.6 assists making him the second best in the Clippers roster.

Love, who is rumored to be Griffin's swapping piece, is currently making 21.4 points, 10.2 rebounds and 1.6 assists which is not that far from Griffin's performance. Being the third top player of the Cavs, it is not yet clear why the team should choose him as the trading piece, but it is believed that these two players are of the same caliber. While Love is a million worth more valuable than Griffin, the Clippers are reportedly willing to spend extra cash to acquire the NBA champ.

As mentioned, the Clippers already have three super players under its lineup, but to go against the four superstars of the Warriors might mean they are still the underdog in the Western Con. Speculations are rife that if the Clippers once again fail to make it to the overall championship game this 2016-2017 season, then it is a cue for the team to finally give a green light to Griffin's move.

This deal might not happen anytime soon this season as Griffin and Love are the ace players of their respective teams. It might, however, be possible for them to make a move at least after the 2016-2017 NBA season.
