Rolling Stone's Mick Jagger: Celebrating The Birth Of His 8th Child At The Age Of 73

The 73-year-old British Rolling Stones leading man received another blessing, his eighth child. His American girlfriend Melanie Hamrick, a 30-year-old, a professional ballet dancer, gave birth to the couple's first baby together on Thursday.

"Melanie Hamrick & Mick Jagger's son was born today in New York and they are both delighted," the singer's rep told E! News. "Mick was at the hospital for the arrival. Mother and baby are doing well and we request that the media respect their privacy now."

Jagger and Hamrick reportedly began their controversial relationship in 2014. However, they've kept it private. In behalf of him, they've announced the ballerina's pregnancy in July. The rocker has seven other children, four daughters and three sons ages 18 to 47, with four ex-girlfriends. He also has five grandchildren.

Jagger and Hamrick's newborn son is already have a great-uncle; Jagger became a great-grandfather in 2014 when granddaughter Assisi Jackson gave birth to a baby girl. Jagger's band mate Ronnie Wood, 69, is also a new dad again; He and wife Sally Humphreys, 38, welcomed twin daughters in May. The musician has four other children from previous relationships, as well as six grandchildren. Talk about his age!

He has five grandchildren and, since May 2014, a great-grandchild after his granddaughter Assisi gave birth to a baby girl. Jagger began dating Hamrick shortly after the suicide in 2014 of L'Wren Scott, his partner of 13 years.

On Sunday, The Rolling Stones' new studio album "Blue & Lonesome" is expected to hit the top of Britain's album chart and hoping to cover all radio stations. The band's first studio release in more than a decade -- a collection of blues covers -- was by grace the top selling album in the midweek chart.
