Katie Holmes Slams Rumors Of 'Dawson's Creek' Reunion, Says It's Not Happening

Katie Holmes has been on the radar quite a lot lately for several things that include her former husband, Tom Cruise, her current dating life with Jamie Foxx, and mostly about her relationship with her daughter, Suri Cruise. Now, the actress is making headlines for promoting her new movie. Along with the promotion, rumors arise that a “Dawson’s Creek’ reunion is in the works.

With popular classic television shows such as “Gilmore Girls” and “Full House” reuniting to air new episodes recently, it was no surprise that fans of “Dawson’s Creek” were hoping to be treated to the same thing. But those rumors have been immediately debunked by Katie Holmes, killing off the little hope fans of the said series had. The actress clearly said she don’t think the cast nor the series are going to do a reunion.

She explained that even if an on-screen reunion is not happening, she and some of the main cast, namely James Van Der Beek, Joshua Jackson, Michelle Williams have been seeing each other every now and then. She pondered on the show and said that it clicked because of the way the story was delivered. Commending the show’s writer, Kevin Williamson, she emphasized that it was a time when it gave teenagers the chance to voice out.

Though Holmes is not keen on a having a reunion, she admitted that being part of “Dawson’s Creek” was a very special time for her. Recalling fond memories portraying the role of Dawson Leery’s love interest, Joey Potter, she said she loved every minute of being part of it. “Dawson’s Creek” was a popular teen drama series that premiered on television in January 1998 and ended its run after six seasons of 128 episodes in May 2003.

Katie Holmes is currently promoting her new film, “All We Had”, which is based on the novel of the same title written by Annie Weatherwax. Aside from starring in the said movie, it also marks Holmes’s directorial debut. “All We Had” is set to premiere on Dec. 9 in the United States.
