American comedy-horror series "Scream Queens" is currently in a tough position as cancelation rumors about the show have surfaced. In line with this, one of its lead stars Emma Roberts recently cut her hair and said goodbye to her iconic role's look in the show.
The former hit-making series is now facing a serious turn in terms of viewer ratings. With its successful introduction way back in September 2015, it seems that "Scream Queens" season 2's ratings plummeted down to the lowest it has ever been.
For instance, "Scream Queens" season 2, episode 7 entitled "The Hand" garnered 1.34 million viewers. As compared to last year's initial episodes that had a steady 4 million viewers, the show's viewership is at its lowest now that it went down by around 3 million.
The disappointing results from a target demographic of 18- to 49-year-olds sparked the emergence of "Scream Queens" cancelation rumors. Viewers have created theories for the Ryan Murphy-produced comedy horror flick, saying that "Scream Queens" season 3 will never be greenlit.
Tweets about the shows cancelation are going around as well. A tweet from a certain Nakia S mentioned that the show was flopping so hard, it is going to get canceled 100 percent. Another one from Cancelled Sci Fi emphasized the show's status of remaining at a low 1.3 million viewers, concluding that it is definitely headed for cancelation.
In other news, "Scream Queens" star Emma Roberts who plays Chanel has been sighted with a new hairdo. Her hair stylist has also posted an Instagram photo of Roberts having her lengthy blonde hair cut into a trimmed piece. Its caption read: "Getting rid of #chanel #screamqueens. Time for a little trim to bring @emmaroberts for her character Chanel back to Emma."
Although no official announcement of its cancelation has been made, "Scream Queens" supporters should be able to set their hearts and minds to a possible end of their favorite TV series.
