NES Classic Edition Cord Length Issues? Play The Mini NES With These Controllers Instead

The biggest problem with the NES Classic edition aside from not being able to buy one is its controllers, or more particularly, its cords.

The mini NES almost has it all. It has the classic design of the original, the nostalgic feeling when playing the console, and the even more nostalgic feeling of playing some of the popular games of the 80's.

But as with almost everything else in the world, not everyone is satisfied. Well, for good reason. The short cords of the controllers make it difficult to play freely. Users need to crouch close to the console just to play any of the 30 pre-installed games led by the iconic tandem of Mario and Luigi in the Super Mario games.

Speaking of games, one other major criticism about the NES Classic Edition is its inability to add or play other games aside from the 30 that came with the console out of the box.

Anyway, like with any other problem in the world (well, almost), some have found a solution. In this case, there are a number of them.

One way to play the mini NES with ease is to use a wireless controller.

IGN has reported on how a Sony Dualshock controller may be used to play the console. In the YouTube video featuring Daemon Hatfield, it was mentioned that the Wireless Controller Adapter is all one needs to get to get rid of the short cable issue.

The Wireless Controller Adapter comes with a wireless version of the original controller but with four face buttons this time. The user can already play with the mini NES using the wireless controller.

The wireless adapter that comes with the package, meanwhile, is used to support other controllers like the Dualshock that Hatfield was using. Other controllers that are supported by the wireless adapter include the PlaysStaton controllers and the Wii, Wii U ans Wii U Pro controllers.

Now that the controller issue can be solved, the only problem left is how to find a NES Classic Edition console.
