"The Flash" season 3 second half will feature three speedsters. Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), Jesse Quick (Violett Beane) and Kid Flash (Keiynan Lonsdale) will face a foe more formidable than Doom and all the other bads that have terrorized star city in the past. Are the three enough to take down the God of Speed?
Fighting Savitar Will Require Additional Help
The predicament of the three in "The Flash" season 3 will be made more difficult with the intrusion of Gorilla Grodd. But Cisco (Carlos Valdes) will be using his newfound powers and his latest superhero costume to provide the necessary assistance to the three. But there could be another hero, this time, a woman who might be able to lend her help.
Jesse was previously seen in episode 3 of "The Flash" season 3. In a quick rescue effort, she was able to save Wally from being run over by a speeding car. Wally was then trying out his new-found superpowers. He has already started his training and joining the fight against a much mover powerful foe. This would seem to be a lot for the upstart speedster.
This Is How Savitar Got His Powers
Savitar, the new bad in "The Flash" season 3 has given his back story in the previous episode. So, far, he's the biggest bad of them all. In the DC Comic Universe, he is a former airplane pilot in an Eastern Bloc military group. Through some unfortunate accident, he was infused with the Speed Force energy. This accident made him the fastest man alive, at least in his timeline.
Now through some quirk of destiny, Savitar was able to invade the present time where Barry and the rest of his team live. According to Valdes, aside from this 'god of speed,' another hero, a female, will be coming. She is known as Gypsy and will be played by Cindy Reynolds. "She is going to be coming in our world and Vibe will definitely get to learn some new skills as part of getting to know her," Valdes explained.
