Yooka-Layle fans are overjoyed that the release date has finally been set to 2017. The fans have been waiting for quite some time for some news about when will they be able to play the game. As of now, expectations are high that it will overcome its predecessor

When Will Yooka-Laylee Be Finally Available In The Market?

The Banjo-Kazooie successor, Yooka-Laylee, will be available on April 11 next year. The latter is created by the original team who also created the former. The new game will be compatible with Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Mac and Linux, as per IGN.

Players can already pre-order Yooka-Laylee for only $40. According to Digital Trends, the players who pre-ordered the game will have access to Toybox that is an open playground that players can enjoy before it is finally out in stores.

Also, Playtonic Games is looking for other options on how to make Yooka-Laylee's Toybox be compatible with Mac and Linux. Right now, its priority is to make sure that the incentive will reach the gamers on time. The developer is not yet sure if the game will be released on disc.

Why Yooka-Laylee Will Not Be Available In Wii U?

Wii U will not be having the Yooka-Laylee in its console. Kickstarter has stopped the development of the game for the console last year, as per Gematsu. Playtonic Games previously worked to bring the game to the Nintendo console, but it seems that is not happening now.

Some donors who have contributed to the creation of Yooka-Laylee for Wii U have been asking for their money since Playtonic has stopped the development of the cute spiritual successor for the said console, according to Polygon. The developer wants to make a version that is compatible with Nintendo Switch.

Players are disappointed because of the cancellation of Yooka-Laylee for Wii U. However, other fans who are using other platforms are very happy with the good news from Playtonic. The developer is making sure that the game will be introduced in new consoles.
