Latest Death’s List Of ‘The Winds Of Winter’ Revealed! George R.R. Martin Says 2017 Is A ‘Spectacular’ Release Date

As 2016 spells zero chance at all for the highly anticipated release of George R.R. Martin’s “The Winds of Winter,” his recent thoughts on his epic novel could make every fan extend his patience and excitement.

“Predicting the future is an uncertain business at best. On a personal level, 2017 could very well be spectacular, productive, fun, fulfilling,” Martin answered a curious follower of his book when asked if 2017 will be a better year for the launch of the sixth installment in the phenomenal fantasy series “A Song of Ice and Fire.”

To recall, the famous author wrote on his blog that the book fair he recently attended in Mexico is his last event for this year as he pledged to finish “The Winds of Winter” in 2017.

“This is my last scheduled event for 2016. My appearance schedule for 2017 is very limited, and will remain so until WINDS is completed. So if you want to meet me or get a book signed, this will be the last chance for a good few months...,” Martin wrote.

A Reddit user claimed that the time lag is not caused by Martin’s alleged laziness. It was clarified that the script is becoming too complicated especially that he’s experiencing challenges in gathering all the characters towards a remarkable conclusion.

It cannot be denied that the fantasy novels have numerous characters, kingdoms and events that GRRM needs to remember. His tasks as a bestselling writer are crucial and great pressures are burdening him as well to maintain the excellent quality of his books.

Interestingly, Martin has been responsive and generous in giving away details of his latest masterpiece. He revealed the dark side of the novel as big surprises await everyone.

“There are a lot of dark chapters right now in the book that I'm writing. It is called The Winds of Winter, and I've been telling you for 20 years that winter was coming. Winter is the time when things die, and cold and ice and darkness fill the world, so this is not going to be the happy feel-good that people may be hoping for. Some of the characters [are] in very dark places,” Martin said.

"I am not going to tell you how I'm going to finish my book, but I suspect the overall flavor is going to be as much bittersweet as it is happy," Martin added.

Indeed, the title says it all. Winter is coming and it will be gloomy and dark in Westeros. Needless to say, major deaths are listed and emotions will roar as horrible downfalls will torture every reader.

Reportedly, Tommen and Myrcella’s absence will be realized in "A Dream of Spring." As mentioned, Myrcella won't make it out alive from the Martell's. Tommen’s fate is same as Myrcella. Tommen will be killed by Daenerys as the mother of dragons will return to Westeros and conquer it. Another Reddit discussion suggest that Tommen will die in the next book and Cersei will kill him.
Death’s list updated and more names will join the lineup.
