Destiny's The Dawning holiday event has arrived and you must be excited to get the Year 3 Icebreaker. However, one is certain from here-getting this sniper rifle isn't as easy it was during in Destiny's year 1. To help you get it, here's a guide on how to complete the Nightfall Bounty easily and get the Year 3 Icebreaker.

The Icebreaker is recurring weapon from year 1. This sniper rifle has been well-known for its regenerating ammo and high damage. The Year 3 Icebreaker still has these killer features, but added with buffs particularly the ability to be infused to maximum light. This makes the Icebreaker practicable in light-reliant Crucible events and high-level quests like the Raid, Trials of Osiris and Iron Banner.
The Black Spindle is another sniper rifle capable of regenerating ammo. The Icebreaker differs from the Black Spindle because it regenerates ammo over time on its own. Whereas the Black Spindle lets you immediately reload if you run in sequence a combination of critical hits which is ideal in boss fights. The Year 3 Icebreaker has a base Light level of 370. It has ornaments Dunebreaker and Nanohance which you can get from the Treasures of the Dawning boxes.

However, it may take you weeks before you can get the Year 3 Icebreaker as a drop. You can take your chances by completing the Nightfall Bounty. Head over to the Tower and meet Commander Zavala. He'll present to you a new Weekly Elite Bounties which you can get by engaging in Strikes. One of these is the Nightfall Bounty, the overhauled Nexus Strike.
The Nightfall Bounty earns you a Gold score of 50,000 for the 30-minute par time. You can finish this off within the given completion time even with a few blows only considering the numerous enemies here that you can take down. Take note that this bounty will get you to open a barrier in the middle of the strike. As you meet the boss, take the relic and use the two shoulder buttons to reduce the boss' shield for a damage phase.
Remember that completing this strike for once doesn't guarantee you the Year 3 Crucible so you have to repeat the process until you get what you're looking for. You can attempt to obtain the Year 3 Icebreaker at least thrice a week. Don't fret if you don't get is immediately because The Dawning will stick around until mid-January.
