A couple of days after Super Mario Run debuted on iOS last Thursday, Dec. 15, a string of issues and problems have already been reported by some players. In particular, some iPhone and iPad players of the game who have reported getting error codes and experiencing crash issues are using jailbroken iOS devices. Here's why Super Mario Run isn't compatible with jailbroken iOS devices and know some workarounds for these issues.
Super Mario Run Error Codes, Crash Issues
Right off the bat when the Nintendo rolled out its latest offering on mobile phones Super Mario Run, players have already experienced persistent crashes and error code upon launching and while in the middle of the game. Reports pointed out that players got error codes between 804-0000 and 804-9999 as they open the game and wouldn't go through afterwards.
Different circumstance pertinent to error codes was also reported. According to Prima Games, many users are also getting error codes when attempting to buy the game on Apple Store. Nevertheless, this is only manageable because device owners can just close the app and relaunch it. It should pick up where it crashed. Just ensure that the app has the permission to complete the transaction. If troubles still persist, try reaching help through the "Having Trouble" message.
Super Mario Run Incompatible With Jailbroken iOS Devices
After Nintendo investigated this matter, it turns out that most users reporting error codes and crash issues have used jailbroken iPhones and iPads. The developer has not provided any specific information as to how to solve this problem, but for the record, Nintendo has made Super Mario Run incompatible with jailbroken iOS devices which primarily speaks of the problems. This means that there's no chances for iPhone and iPad owners to play Super Mario Run on their devices if they run on a jailbroken operating system.
Super Mario Run is now available on iOS and will be released on Android in 2017.
