The 2017 Subaru Impreza Specs
Apparently, not much has changed in terms of the powertrain for the 2017 Subaru Impreza. CNET reported that the 2017 Subaru Impreza is equipped with a 2.0-liter flat-four engine that delivers the 152 horsepower and 145 pound-feet of torque. The new engine has only gained four more horses but it was also able to obtain a higher compression rate of 12.5:1 for the motor's direct injection. In addition, the fuel efficiency has also gone up and it now stands at 28 and 38 miles per gallon in the city and on the highway respectively.
A New Look
The 2017 Subaru Impreza did not just change from the inside as it also gained a few exterior transformations. In fact, the 2017 Subaru Impreza may seem like a totally new car for the untrained eye and those assumptions would be correct in a sense because the 2017 Subaru Impreza really is basically new in every aspect.
New Global Platform
The new Subaru Global Platform is perhaps the most significant change in the 2017 Impreza. The Global Platform basically made the 2017 Subaru Impreza longer by 45mm, wider by 35mm and lower by 10m. In addition, this gives the 2017 Subaru Impreza 70 to 100 percent better rigidity that allows for a better driving performance. In short, the new Subaru Global Platform has made the 2017 Subaru evolve into a more comfortable car to drive.
