The hype could not get any higher as another trailer has just been released to promote “Gravity Rush 2”. An animated prequel film is set to be released soon that will bridge the gap in the stories between the two video games.
'Gravity Rush 2' Confirmed By Sony
After a long wait, the sequel to the highly acclaimed gravity-defying video game, “Gravity Rush” has been finally confirmed and will soon hit the stores. Aside from “Gravity Rush 2", which is also referred to as "Gravity Daze 2" in Japan, Sony has revealed that an animated prequel will be released before the official launch of the said game. To promote both developments, PlayStation Japan dropped a special trailer featuring the anime prequel titled, “Gravity Rush: The Animation – Overture”.
The aforementioned trailer featured the main characters from the game namely Kat, Raven, and Syd. Studio Khara is responsible for the creation of the said anime, which will showcase the events that happened between “Gravity Rush” and “Gravity Rush 2,” since the latter will be set in a later and broader timeline. The video game sequel will pick up where the first game left and will add more new environments donned in ethnic atmospheres said to be inspired from places in South America and Southeast Asia for the player to explore. “Gravity Rush: The Animation – Overture” will make its premiere on TV Tokyo on Dec. 25.
'Gravity Rush 2' Exclusive To PS4
Though it has yet to be announced whether the said animated prequel will be released on hard copies or not, it has already been reported that the first-print limited edition of “Gravity Rush 2” will include the Blu-ray disc copy of “Gravity Rush: The Animation – Overture." The said video game, which is a single player action-adventure game, will be exclusively available on PlayStation 4 and it will be released in January 2017 starting in Australia and Europe and will then be made available in Japan, North America, and the United Kingdom.
