Why The 'PlayStation 4 Pro' Destroys The Original PS4?

The question on whether players should purchase the PS4 Pro for its faster computing speed or the Play Station 4 Slim, with a cheaper price is one that continually lingers among console fanatics.

What makes matters more complicated is that there are currently 45 million original PS4 units already sold.

Is it really worth upgrading to the PS4 Pro? Upon first glance, it's apparent that the PS4 Pro only works to the fullest with a 4k HDTV for the best gameplay graphics as possible.

According to Cheat Sheet, given that games that could be played on the Pro version have already been released, both new and re-released ones, the advice previously mentioned does not seem feasible anymore. It's worth, therefore, to juxtapose how certain games are on the standard PS4, PS4 Slim, and the PS4 Pro.

Problems with the Last Guardian

The Last Guardian is a game about a boy who gets acquainted with a ginormous monster. The two other friends need to work their path around a place that isn't really quite fit for them. In order to get through, you are required to come up with environment-themed puzzles, while letting your pet work with you.

While it's an extremely dazzling game, it entails great processing power for its full beauty to unfold. Clearly displaying the environment of the game, while showing a giant, moving animal with all of its parts would require a very powerful console, indeed.

According to PC Advisor, it's impossible for neither the PS 4 nor the Pro version to effectively run the game. A detailed and comprehensive comparison for the game found plenty of notable differences.

Things You Need to Know About the Competition

The game was played on the original Play Station 4, and a PS4 Pro activated at 4k and 1080p.From their analysis, they found that the only way for PS players to play the game with a smooth 30 fps speed for graphics is to use the PS 4 pro version, set at 1080p screen resolution.

To contrast, the PS4 Pro operated at a 4k rate for the frames that would usually plunger to 20 fps. Having the game played on an original PS4 had frame speeds sinking below 20 fps.

Other non-Pro Play Station pro players have also raised concerns regarding the low frame rate that could only be fixed by turning their consoles off and on again. This is independent of Digital Foundry's evaluation of the said game.

PS 4 Pro: The Future of Gaming

Game makers would definitely continue making great games for both the standard PS4 and the PS 4 Pro. They would most definitely not want to be hindered from developing them any further for the PS4 and the PS4 Slim. While they would still keep on creating games for former models of the PS4, these versions would surely be compromised in some way.

The ultimate gaming experience would definitely be through the PS4 Pro. As Mobile & Apps said in an interview, it was stated by a producer for Resident Evil 7 that the best environment for playing their games would most definitely be the PS4 Pro.
