A lot of game fans are eagerly anticipating the release of Kingdom Hearts III, and it looks like the developers are going back to their roots and are bringing back J-Pop artist Utada Hikaru to create another original song for the franchise's next installment.
Other than the fact that Hikaru is recognized for providing songs for multiple anime series like "Beautiful World," "Boku wa Kima," and "Evangelion," she is also the person who provided the theme song for the first Kingdom Hearts game, "Simple and Clean." Hikaru's involvement in Kingdom Hearts III was confirmed by her father/manager via Twitter, and he wrote: "We'll do it. Actually we have already started. Sorry for keeping you waiting."
Game Tyrant comments that there have been some doubts with Hikaru's involvements since the label that she is currently working for has been known to cause complications with previous clients. This was due to an issue of having to rewrite songs from Japanese to English.
There is no doubt that a lot of fans are excited to see Hikaru coming back to the Kingdom Hearts franchise, because other than the fact that she is her own big celebrity in Japan, "Simple and Clean" is one of the most memorable theme songs to ever come out of the first Kingdom Hearts. Hopefully, the J-Pop star will bring something that the fans will love in Kingdom Hearts III.
Kingdom Hearts is an adventure game franchise from Square Enix that follows the hero Sora as he fights against dark creatures called the Heartless. The game brings together elements from Final Fantasy and Disney movies, as Sora hops from different Disney worlds inspired by Disney classics like "Alice in Wonderland," "Mulan," and "Aladdin" - all while being accompanied by his allies Donald and Goofy.
This time around, Kingdom Hearts III will be visiting worlds from newer Disney movies like "Tangled," "Frozen," and "Big Hero 6." No official release date has been announced for Kingdom Hearts III, but fans are guessing that it could very well come out sometime next year.
