Mordekaiser is considered as a mediocre Tank/Caster hybrid in the game due to its capability to dish out damage whilst still sustaining hits from enemy ADC. Despite its array of abilities that can potentially disrupt the enemy lines, Mordekaiser isn't well received by players. Why could it be? Well, one player has revealed that it stemmed from the fact that the champion has its game-breaking bugs that has gone unnoticed for several months now.
Mordekaiser Game-Breaking Bugs
All of these bugs were discovered and elaborated by a Reddit thread which you can check here. The post in itself contain 151 known bugs for the champion because of this, we will only highlight those that have significant impact to the hero and affects its overall capability in most games. Here's to name a few:
Mace of Spades
Based on the poster's analysis, the first auto attack enhanced with Mace of Spades comes a bit too slow when used in conjunction to the second cast of Harvester's Sorrow. This in overall, reduces the burst output of the hero as you're basically using the combo to reset the attack animation of the champion.
The second game-changing bug is that the attack enhanced with Mace of Spades initiated after the second cast of Harvester's Sorrow only deals damage of a standard basic attack (while still consuming the buff). You can check the full video analysis here.
Third game-changing bug about his Mace of Spades is that, when an enemy has less health (current) than the magic damage dealt by the ability, the physical damage won't be applied which means that it won't be part of the life steal calculation and won't suffer from other on-hit effects, Titanic Hydra, etc.
As you can noticed, these primary bugs affect Mordekaiser's overall dps and the champion's efficiency during laning phase - where you ought to deal cheap damage and pressure to the enemy unit. Now, these are only a fraction to the myriad of bugs that the champion is suffering and as of the time of this writing, these known bugs are yet to be fixed by Riot.
You can check the full analysis and discussion on the Reddit thread which was linked above.
