Capcom Confirms That Street Fighter 5 Will Be The Only Version Of The Game

Earlier in 2016, Street Fighter 5 was released for PS4 and PC, and that only took a small amount of time after its initial announcement. The sales of the game did not go as high as expected, thus many are wondering if Capcom will still push through an additional version of Street Fighter 5. Capcom has made a confirmation that they will not be making a Super Street Fighter 5 anymore.

There were numerous re-releasesfor each of the game in the Street Fighter series since Street Fighter 2. Street Fighter 4 even took it to a higher level. Capcom firmly said that there will be no additional release for Street Fighter 5, thus it will be the only release. They will instead have season passes which can be used to buy more characters, but they can also be earned by grinding within the game.

Upon the release of Street Fighter 5, it received a lot of criticisms because it is lacking in some ways which led to a frustrating number in its sales. Capcom is however not intending to shift from the original version of the game, as reported by Attack of the Fan Boy. Those who will be playing Street Fighter 5 do not have to worry if their purchase will become obsolete throughout time. However, they would have to deal with a lot of changes if they want to have all of the characters in an instant instead of just grinding for them.

The price point for the main retail of the game has also dropped. Even if new models will be developed by Capcom, they will still stick with their promise that this initial release will be the only version and it will soon have game updates and all necessary adjustments that they will make will be made available for free.
