SpaceX Falcon Heavy Launch Date: The Teaser Photo Is Here

SpaceX Falcon Heavy launch date had been moved from 2013 to mid-2017. SpaceX posted a teaser photo of the Falcon Heavy on Instagram. It has been anticipated for years and hopefully by some time in 2017 it will launch successfully.

Falcon Heavy will consist of a Falcon 9 Full Thrust core stage. It also has an additional F9 first stage on the side acting as strap-on boosters.

The Falcon Heavy has resemblance with the United Launch Alliance's Delta IV but will be able to lift twice as much.

SpaceX Falcon Heavy will be lifted by its 27 Merlin 1D engines in the low-Earth orbit. It weighs 54.4 metric tons. This makes it the most powerful rocket in operation.

At least until NASA's Space Launch System debuts in late 2018.

If SpaceX Falcon Heavy Launch will be successful by 2017, it will be the fourth most powerful rocket ever built. The other three most powerful rockets are U.S. - built Saturn V rocket and the Space Shuttle system as well as the Soviet-built Energia rocket.

However, SpaceX needs to return the Falcon 9 rocket to safe flight. It was grounded since September 1,2016, launch pad explosion, that destroyed $200 million Amos 6 payloads and the rocket.

According to the Space Flight Insider, In an Oct. 28 update on SpaceX's website, the firm believes, though extensive testing, the failure was due to loading conditions that affected the temperature and pressure of the helium being loaded.

Elon Musk, stated that the company still has high hopes to launch again at the end of 2016. However to give the engineers more time to investigate and prepare the multiple rockets, it was moved to January 2017.

According to the Red Orbit, SpaceX became the first to effectively launch privately funded liquid-fueled rocket into orbit in September 2008.

Furthermore, Federal Aviation Administration has yet to sign off on the company's findings.

NewSpace firm expects 2017 to be a busy year. Aside from returning Falcon 9 to flight, then the Falcon Heavy. The NewSpace Firm will also work on the first Crew Dragon unpiloted test flight.

They will also be working on repairs needed for the damaged Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral.

The SpaceX Heavy launch date will be one of the most awaited events in 2017.
