Carrie Fisher Had Voiced A Character In Dishonored

Carrie Fisher lending her voice in the first Dishonored game is one of the best Easter eggs of the game. A lot of players have missed it because it was short and there was no hint that it was Fisher, until now.

Glixel reported that Fisher recorded a few lines for Arkane Studios. The part was brief and well-hidden. According to Harvey Smith, the creative director for Dishonored, the role was short but Fisher ws "gracious, funny, and creatively open."

If you are one of the many who missed it, Fisher's voice was the announcer in the PA system at Dunwall telling people not to stop any work done with the disposal of corpses at the disposal centers where flooding has occurred. She also admonished people not to be afraid if they noticed some uncanny activities during that specific evening because it is a training exercise that had been scheduled already.

There's a video below this article with that specific scene. Listen carefully and you'll see that your hunch before was right - there's something familiar about the voice. That's because it was Princess Leia speaking or rather Fisher speaking.

Dishonored is just one of the two games Fisher gave a nod to. The other one was Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens. Even though Princess Leia was a major character in Battlefront, Fisher did not lend her voice to the character but a voice actor provided it.

Meanwhile, Star Wars fans are still reeling from the news of her death. There were various homages created for her and her character. Aside from the tweets and mentions made by different people regarding their memorable moments with her, gaming fans showed their respect for this kick-ass princess in many ways.

The most notable and biggest perhaps was the in-game convergence of players from all over the world at the House Organa. There, they said their last goodbye and raised their light sabers to fare her well in her final journey, this time in a different place farther than the galaxy far, far, away.
